Recording

Recording is the process capturing individual musical, vocal, or other sound sources. Cedric uses various mixing techniques to capture quality sound sources. Recording takes place in a quiet peaceful atmosphere at 3GP’s private studio, where recording is tailored to you to make it a relaxing and enjoyable process. With the ability to be mobile, Cedric can also record in different locations.

Cedric learned the fundamentals and the in outs of recording while attending Full Sail University from grammy award winner engineers. Taking courses like the Project and Portfolio III: Audio Production course combines hands-on learning experiences with summative and formative portfolio assessments. In this course, we created a recording comparable to a songwriter’s demo. The course drew upon previous topics such as recording, editing, mixing, and musical structure. The finished product will be a portfolio-ready recording. The Recording Principles course introduced theory and operation of essential audio tools ranging from microphones to mixers. Primary topics include audio basics, signal flow, basic microphone techniques, gain staging, audio processors, and basic file and session management.
